National Sorry Day, Sunday May 26
National Sorry Day
This day was established in response to the 1997 Bringing them Home Report by the Australian Human Rights Commission, which recommended that a National Sorry Day be held each year on May 26 “to commemorate the history of forcible removals and its effects”.

Prayer for National Sorry Day
Touch the hearts of the broken, homeless and inflicted
and heal their spirits.
In your mercy and compassion walk with us
as we continue our journey of healing to create a future that is just and equitable.
