St Francis is known as the patron saint of ecology. He loved the world and all creatures who shared it. To all our Franciscan friends we wish you a blessed Feast Day of St Francis.

On this feast day of St Francis of Assisi we remember his special affinity with the created world, his honouring of the elements – sun, moon, water, fire – and his recognition of the divine in even the smallest of creatures.
